Welcome to My Website

Posted on the May 20th, 2008

Welcome to my web site and thank you for joining me, John Bodie, Chief Ortega, Dede and the others in my books. This site was specifically designed with you in mind.  I hope you find it easy to navigate with no mysteries like those found in my books.    Having enjoyed several careers before finding the vocation of writing, I can think of nothing better than sharing these reality based stories with each of you.  Actually there maybe one thing better, but we'll save that for another book.  Enjoy the suspense and humor that's infused into these adventures knowing that it is a joy to write them with you in mind.  Now, sit back, relax and start enjoying the land of make believe.

Many of my readers have suggested that I give them a little more info on each book.  In this regard I've created a new section on "My Books" page of this web site.  Under each image you will find a "Read" tab.  Simply click that image and you can read the first chapter of each book.

Again the readers have spoken, and a surprising number of authors have expressed interest in Face Book.  So I have ventured into the realm of said endeavor.  I'm new to the world of Face Book so be patient with me.  It's like taking a drink with a fire hose the way everyone is responding.  I'm grateful for all my new friends and will get around to answering all of you sooner or later.  Hang in there!

The proofs are back to the publisher and I'm waiting for cover approval and Liar, Liar House on Fire should be in print in time for Christmas.  Yes I said Christmas NOT the holidays.

Well readers, the cover is done and on it's way to the magic machines that make books.  I apologize for the over design by the untalented and uncooperative children the cheap publisher utilizes.  For some reason I guess the cover I submitted was too difficult for them to use.  I suppose they're not familiar with the use of copy machines.  They decided to stick with their crayons.  They have final approval so please don't judge the book by it's cover.  Hopefully Liar, Liar House on Fire will be out in time for Christmas.

Release date for my new book, Liar, Liar House on Fire, is January 16, 2010.  You can pre-order now from the publisher or when I find out what they are charging for this piece of literary genius I will send  you a signed copy for less.

I just received a supply of Liar, Liar House on Fire from the publisher.  If anyone wants to order one and beat the release date go to the 'contact me' section of this web site.  I give a good discount.  Needless to say, I look forward to hearing from you.

John L. Ketchum

John was a childhood actor and continued to perform during summer breaks from school throughout his teen years.  He was known as Larry Armond during his school and acting years. As an adult he became a police officer, detective and an undercover agent.  He enlisted in the Army as a private and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  He is a highly decorated, combat wounded veteran of the Viet Nam war.  John graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Police Science Degree and from Webster College in St. Louis, Missouri with a Masters Degree in Psychology.  He founded one of the largest private investigative agencies in the state of Washington.  He conducted or supervised over 3000 criminal and industrial investigations.  He later opened his polygraph company and conducted over 6000 polygraph examinations, the majority of which were court ordered.  It is from these 9000 cases that he draws his material for his books.

After John's first love of writing, is his love of boating and fishing.  He lives on a beautiful lake in northern Arkansas in the summer and in Arizona in the winter.  He played football for Dalton High School in Georgia many years ago and still enjoys the game more than any other sports.
